Early in the morning drive to Palitana after breakfast. Palitana is holiest place for the Jains. There is the group of temples (more than 800) above Shatrunjaya Mountain. Every day many pilgrims, saints, etc. come and climb the stairs (one-sided 3700) in their own way.
It takes about 2 hours to go up the stairs and an hour to come down. If someone wants to rent the porters, they can also rent them. The guests carry the bearers using the sedan chair.
** The porters (4 people group) carry the guest with the help of the sedan chair. They take around 50-60 euros and expect a tip at the end (same as the Indians). The porters also take the break when going up the stairs. During this time the guest can climb some stairs themselves. But yes, in this way you can see the main temple conveniently and in a timely manner. *But yes, it's not the must to let yourself carry.
After that drive to Sasan Gir.
Dinner, breakfast and overnight stay in the tent hotel
Sasan Gir Apart from Africa, Gir National Park in Gujarat is the only place in the world where you can see the lions roaming freely in the wild.
Early in the morning you have the jungle safari in Gir reserve (where different people live close to the reserve like Rebari, Siddi, etc.). Gir Resarvat is known for Asiatic species of lions but it is also different species of animals that are also in Resarvat.
The afternoon is free for you. Second safari on request, additionally possible.
**The Siddi are also famous from Gujarat. Descended primarily from southeast Africa, they were merchants, sailors, indentured servants, slaves and mercenaries. Maybe you look at those in Sasan Gir and are confused that you are in Africa.
Today drive to Gondal but visit Junagarh on the way. En route visit Junagarh fort, Bibi ka Makbara, Buddhist caves from Ashoka period. In many buildings there is a mixture of Hindu, Muslim and European architecture.
Then drive from Junagarh to Gondal. Gondal is full of old palaces from the 17th century. You will visit City Palace (Navlakha Palace, overlooking the river). This imposing building, over 30 meters high, is one of the oldest and most beautiful in Gondal.

It is a rich and ornate monument built by Queen (Udaymati) in memory of her husband (Bheema I). Patola sarees from Patan are famous for being one of the finest handcrafted
After that drive to Sidhpur. It's like a lost treasure. Unfortunately, hardly any guests come here. There is European influence over the houses (Manzil's they say). If you were to stroll down the street, you would definitely have the feeling of Indiana Jones.
Then continue the journey to Palanpur. Once there, we check in at Balram Palace, which was the home of the former ruling royal family, where we will stay the night. The 19th-century Balram Palace stands like a chimera over the Macchu River, is richly decorated and has spacious suites with silk wallpaper, carved sandstone panels and marble balconies like royal apartments.
Balaram Palace Resort, once the hunting ground of the Lohani Nawab of Palanpur. It was built between 1922 and 1936 by the 29th ruler of Palanpur. The palace is a graceful manifestation of the neoclassical with the baroque architectural styles. The palace hotel is located amidst the Aravalli Mountains in the 542 km² Balaram Ambaji Reserve Forest.
Overnight stay in Balaram Palace! (F., A.)
Through the mountains you drive in the direction of JAWAI. En route visit Ranakpur Jain Temple.
Then drive to Jawai where you will do jeep safari to see the wild animals. Sleep under the stars.
Secret tip from us * If 100 people do the safari, 90% will see the leopards. Few foreign people arrive there.
Overnight stay and evening in a tent hotel.
Today you go on a hike through the beautiful landscape. The route is about 7 km, but very, very beautiful landscape.
Afternoon time is at your leisure or you can relax by the pool. In the evening you go on a leopard safari.
Overnight stay and dinner at the hotel.
Today you will return to Ahmedabad and visit Adalaj ki Vav(wells) on the way. Then you can check in in the evening.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

EXCELLENT Based on 17 reviews Dezsö B2024-04-06Verified Unforgettable India trip: Tailor-made adventures with Indienreiseleiter.de Our trip with Indiatripguide.com was undoubtedly an unforgettable adventure that far exceeded our expectations. From the beginning, it was clear that this trip would not be just a regular tour, but a tailor-made experience tailored to our specific wishes. The communication beforehand via Whatsapp was extremely efficient and allowed us to plan every single aspect of our trip in advance. This was especially important as we had specific travel times and start and end points that had to be taken into account. The advantage of a self-guided trip proved invaluable as we were independent of a group and therefore had the flexibility to express and implement our own wishes. The van ride was comfortable and enjoyable and we really appreciated that water and coke were always on board and included in the tour price. The real highlight of our trip, however, was the experience with our tour guide, Piyush. His dedication and passion for his work was second to none. He always went above and beyond the norm to ensure we had the best possible experience. Some examples of his outstanding work are unforgettable: Visiting the Taj Mahal at 9am when there were no queues allowed us to have an uninterrupted view of this fascinating structure. Then in the evening we experienced the magical colors of the Taj Mahal from a distance, which gave us a completely new perspective on this wonder of the world. At the bird park we were assigned a knowledgeable guide, a local who not only knew the area but also had an impressive Zeis zoom telescope. His explanations in German made the tour particularly informative and entertaining. The organization of our safari in Ranthambore was also particularly impressive. Instead of placing us in a crowded bus with many other tourists, Piyush arranged a jeep just for us, which allowed us to observe the wildlife in peace and experience unforgettable moments. Overall we cannot praise Indienreiseleiter.de enough. Their professionalism, attention to detail and ability to turn our dreams into reality made this trip an unforgettable experience. We will definitely use your services again and recommend you to anyone looking for an unforgettable travel experience in India. Thank you IndiaTravelGuide.com and most of all thank you Piyush for unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. Ronald F2024-04-04Verified Individual trip professionally organized Thank you Piyush for organizing our little trip from Lucknow to Agra. Everything went as planned and was organized professionally. Our vehicle was always ready for us on time and our driver Santosh took us through the wild Indian traffic in a relaxed manner. Special requests such as sightseeing were also accommodated at short notice because you, Piyush, were constantly in contact with us and asked how we were. The processing via a European bank was also very convenient as it saved high transfer costs. It was our first time traveling with you and we will be happy to get in touch with you again next time. We wish you continued success with your company Sylvia2024-03-08Verified Tour of Rajasthan I found Mr. Piyush Matur during my research on the Internet. Mr. Piyush started the travel preparations perfectly. So our initial scepticism quickly disappeared and he made us curious about Rajasthan months in advance. When the trip started, our expectations were far exceeded. The tour through Rajasthan was very well organized. We stayed in wonderful palace hotels, visited wonderful buildings and learned a lot about the country and its people. We also had a great guide, Tinku. He spoke very good German and he gave us a great insight into his country. He also immediately responded to our personal wishes and made everything possible, e.g. a spontaneous visit to a brick factory. Mr. Piyush Matur was also in constant contact with us during the trip. We also had a great, comfortable and always sparkling clean car and the driver Denis drove very well and carefully. In short, our Rajasthan trip was something very special. We experienced Rajasthan very intensively. We are overwhelmed and can recommend Piyus Matur Indienreiseleiter.de at any time Johanna H2023-10-30Verified First time in South India and I fell in love with India! After much deliberation, I booked the 18-day trip with India Travel Guide. The time in September, small group and the suggested itinerary appealed to me. The decision to book there exceeded my expectations. The trip was led and organized by Mr. Piyush Mathur, an extremely knowledgeable, German-speaking tour guide who is not only well-versed in history, culture and politics but was also an excellent host and showed us India. Our itinerary took us through the states of Tamil Nandu, Kerala and Karnataka. We were lucky enough to travel in an air-conditioned minibus with cool drinks within easy reach. Our driver was extremely reliable and always brought us safely to our destinations. The highlights of the trip were numerous, including visiting tea plantations, spice complexes, exploring breathtaking palaces and magnificent temples, as well as exciting rickshaw rides. The overnight stay on a houseboat was also particularly impressive. The selection of hostels was also first class. We stayed in charming little hotels hidden in green landscapes. Overall, the tour of South India was an unforgettable adventure. Mr. Mathur and his driver made sure that we felt safe and well looked after. I can fully recommend this trip and am grateful for the wonderful memories that I took home with me. It was an experience that I warmly recommend to every travel lover. Review by Johanna Sent from my Galaxy Basia.K2023-10-10Verified South India Individual Tour A few years ago I visited northern India and since then I have wanted to get to know southern India too. I looked at many travel suggestions and decided to book with IndienReiseleiter.de. I was lucky! During my 18-day trip through southern India: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, I was able to see all the highlights and have an unforgettable time. We were a small group of just 4 with our tour guide Piyush Matur and tour driver. Our tour guide looked after us perfectly over the 18 days and gave us so much information about all the regions we visited. We experienced so many places, landscapes and encounters. Colorful India with its very interesting temples, lively markets and many other experiences. Our tour guide Piyush Matur planned our trip down to the smallest detail, organized it well and we were always able to check into nice hotels. He was always there for us and always answered all our questions. He also always told us lots of great stories, thank you Piyush! We always had very nice hotels during our trip and didn't want to leave them at all. I can always recommend booking with Indienreiseleiter.de. India is such a fascinating country and offers so much to see and experience. I can definitely recommend the agency IndienReiseleiter.de. Our small group was very satisfied with all the services. Barbara Monika S2023-10-03Verified Don’t just be a spectator, but immerse yourself in the colorful world of India The tour of the Indian state of Gujarat led through a contrasting landscape and to impressive temples. We immersed ourselves in the colorful world of India, met the local people and learned a lot about culture and handicrafts. We were even able to observe the Asian lion in the national park. If you really want to get to know India, if you want to understand traditions and experience culture, you must plan your trip with India tour guide Piyush Mathur! He leads the group with great experience and empathy, inspires every participant and provides deep insights into this wonderful country. Fantastic!
