Khajuraho is a place that fascinatingly combines the art, culture and history of India. It is known for its stunning temples decorated with beautiful and masterfully carved sculptures. These works of art demonstrate a remarkable reverence for beauty and spirituality.

What makes Khajuraho so unique is the representation of the human figure in all its facets. The sculptures range from religious and mythological scenes to everyday activities and erotic depictions. These performances are a testament to the dedication to art and creativity of the time.

Reach late afternoon. The rest of the day is free to  use .

Varanasi consists of two districts: the new district and the old district. The old part of town is full of street vendors and chaos. In the new town there is more space and a green environment. The old town is very impressive. There are only a few hotels in this part of the city, but we have found a nice place to stay for you.

The charming hotel is located in close proximity to the old town and the Ganges. The location is unusual, although some rooms are small. You just have to take a few steps to be in the middle of the action! You are free to spend the remaining time after your arrival.

Anyone in Varanasi should attend a religious ceremony. Every evening the ceremony takes place on the Ganges at Dashaswamedh Ghat. Every day priests and pilgrims pray to Mother Ganga. Poems are sung, lamps and torches are lit and small bowls of flowers are placed in the water. Let yourself be enchanted by the mystical and magical atmosphere.

Please take good care of your valuables as many people flock to the ghats at this time. After the ceremony you can fortify yourself in the restaurant.

Additionally: - Boat trip to the prayer ceremony with an English-speaking guide, approx. € 39 per person

Day 05 Varanasi

EARLY IN THE MORNING YOU TAKE A BOAT TRIP ON THE GANGES.

Private Boat Tour & Walk:-

It is an unforgettable experience to watch the pilgrims on the lake early in the morning as they refresh themselves in the water before the sunrise. The pilgrims carry a metal pot with which they can draw water and pour it over their heads.

Some spend an hour on the shore meditating, while others splash around in the water as if they were in the swimming pool with some friends. They drive past the burning ghats. Your local guide can explain everything about the rituals to you.

The body is carried on a stretcher through the streets of the city to the river. The procession is accompanied by loud singing of the holy song. Cremation on the Ganges is the wish of many Hindus. Those who believe will then free the soul from the cycle of rebirth and re-death.

If someone cannot afford cremation, the Hindu temple foundations will provide support. After the boat ride, a short walk through the old town of Varanasi is planned before your tour guide takes you back to the hotel.

Rest of the day is free.
